I'm going to see Roger Waters on May 19th.. and you're not. :p

I'm going to see Roger Waters on his Dark Side Of Moon tour. This experience will be the closest I'll ever get to seeing a Pink Floyd concert. If it seems like I'm walking on air for the next month or so, it's because I am.
The seats suck, because we waited too long, but who cares? It's Roger Waters and it'd be great even if we had to see him from outside the amphitheater. :)
Syd Barrett

As most of you probably heard, Syd Barrett died this week at the age of 60. Syd Barrett was the founder of Pink Floyd and their inspiration for many years after his departure from the band.
I was never a hardcore Pink Floyd fan as a teenager. I discovered them a bit closer to the age of 18. But in the few years I've been a fan, I've grown to appreciate Pink Floyd and their music more than any other band I know.
There were many, many nights, and still are, that I lay in my bed listening to the dynamic, challenging, and always unique music Pink Floyd has produced. Despite the fact that Syd has remained out of the public eye for many decades, I feel like every music lover every where owes him a great deal. Thanks Syd.
Johnny Cash

Umm, yeah. I'm listening to this Johnny Cash album -- "The Man Comes Around"
Now, I've been a long time Cash fan, but this album is just disturbing.. among covering NIN's song "Hurt", he covers Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode.. Bridge Over Trouble Water by S&G.. and other pop culture favorites. It seems like Johnny's family really pushed him at the end there to make some cash... uhh, no pun intended.
Anyway. Stick with Johnny's older stuff. Oh yeah, June Carter Cash sings on Bridge Over Trouble Water.. they both sound like they recorded it from the grave.
